Arthur Ruben Kostandyan - Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor
Arthur Ruben Kostandyan was born on May 13, 1975, in Yerevan into a working-class family. From 1982 to 1992, he attended Secondary School No. 3 in Sisian. From 1992 to 1996, he enrolled in and graduated from the full course of the "Economics and Management of Mechanical Engineering Production" program at the State Engineering University of Armenia, earning a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. In 1996, he entered the American University of Armenia to study "Industrial Engineering."
From 1997 to 1999, he served in the Armenian National Army as a commander of a mortar and anti-tank platoon and received the rank of senior lieutenant.
From 2002 to 2004, he pursued and completed a Master's degree in "Engineering Management" at the State Engineering University of Armenia.
From 2000 to 2005, he taught part-time at the Goris branch of the State Engineering University of Armenia. He also worked as a trainer at the German office of Mercedes-Benz in Armenia.
From 2001 to 2005, he served as the coordinator of the Goris center for the IREX/IATP Internet Access and Training Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State.
During the 2003-2004 academic year, he was the head of the computer center for the regional admissions committee for higher education institutions in Syunik Province.
In 2004, he founded the "Information and New Technologies" NGO.
From 2005 to 2006, he worked at the Sisian branch of the Armenian State Agrarian University as the Deputy Secretary-General.
From March 2006 to December 2016, he served as the Director of the Sisian branch of the Armenian State Agrarian University.
In January 2007, he defended his Ph.D. thesis and received the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
On April 9, 2009, the Scientific Council of the Armenian State Agrarian University awarded him the title of Associate Professor.
From December 16, 2016, to October 2022, he was the Director of the Kapan branch of the Armenian State Agrarian University.
Since October 17, 2022, he has been working as the Director of the Gyumri branch of the Armenian State Agrarian University.
He is the author of 6 scientific articles, one methodological guide, and one textbook. He is proficient in Russian and English.
He is married and has three sons.
