About the Chair:
The Chair of Physics and Mathematics is functioning since October 1, 2018. It was organized on the basis of the Chair of Mathematics and Computer Science, including the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and those related to "Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics" educational program of the former Chair of Natural Sciences.
Educational Programs conducted in the Chair
1. Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics
The goal of the project is:
- To form the required scientific-educational background and professional potential in Armenia for the development of electronic techniques, microelectronics and nanoelectronics,
- To educate a wide range of engineers for designing various electronic, microelectronic and nanoelectronic systems, including computers and for other operations,
- To ensure mastering and practical application of basic principles and methods of electronic, microelectronic, nanoelectronic systems, design, analysis and operation;
- To prepare graduates for a variety of professional careers and jobs as well as continuous professional development.
2. Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
The goal of the project is:
- To form the required scientific-educational background and professional potential for the development of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science in Armenia;
- To educate a wide range of specialists in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics for design, production, technological, scientific and research, organizational and management activities;
- To conduct research and development of software for mathematical models, algorithms, methods, use of advanced technologies and software packages for solving applied problems;
- To prepare graduates for a variety of careers and jobs as well as continuous professional development.
The following research work is carried out at the chair:
- -Boundary behavior of meromorphic functions and limit sets.
- -Geophysical modeling and solution of inverse problems.
- -Investigation of the properties of spaces of functions holomorphic in a circle.
- -Theoretical study of the optical properties of semiconductor nanostructures.
- -Study of the problems of contemporary education.
- -Problems of methodological support of the disciplines taught in the chair.
